With our referral program, you can raise your monthly transaction limit by up to $25, which is reported to the bureaus as a $300 increase. Raising your maximum transaction limit can lead to a bigger impact on your credit score and faster results.
How does the Grow Credit referral program work?
When you sign up for Grow Credit, we generate a code that we connect to your account. If someone uses that code to sign up, we’ll credit that referral to you.
Grow Credit offers a $5 monthly transaction limit increase for every friend you refer. Since we report your progress to the bureaus as an annual line of credit, or your monthly limit multiplied by 12 months, a $5 monthly increase is reported as $60 on your credit report.
Where can I find my promo code? How do I share it with my friends?
Go to your account settings, then tap on “Invite Friends.” You can also find it on the home screen of the app under “Help spread the Grow Credit message.”
You can also find your referral code by logging into your account on desktop. Log in to your account at GrowCredit.com. Click on the icon on the top right of the screen. Your account information will appear on this page, including your referral code and URL on the bottom right.
How does raising my limit impact my credit score?
A FICO score takes into account the percentage of your credit you are using according to a number referred to as a “credit utilization ratio.” As a general rule, you want to make sure that you’re not using more than 30% of your credit limit at any given time. Therefore, having a higher credit limit can lower that ratio, since there’s a larger pool of money that you are able to borrow from. This means that having a higher monthly transaction limit can make a bigger impact on your score faster.
How else can I raise my transaction limit?
The fastest way to increase your monthly transaction limit is to upgrade your account to a premium Grow or Accelerate plan. The Grow plan provides a $50 monthly transaction limit, while the Accelerate plan provides a $150 monthly transaction limit.
